Thanks, everyone! Seems almost unfair that someone should win both categories after having suggested the topic as well. I hope some of you were as intrigued by this topic as I was; I may adopt it as a theme for some personal photography as well.

Clever concept - well composed, lit, executed. Like the variety of the coins. Minor nit: matching of the coin and watch shapes could be a little closer.

Nice shot - the bare branches add to the wintry feeling.

Very colorful - maybe a bit much for my taste. Skillfully shot, nonetheless.

Very dramatic color and lighting. If the scene is about a disorder such as gambling addiction, I'd like to see a recognizable roulette wheel or deck of cards somewhere. Or maybe i just don't get it (?).

A pleasant scene. Might prefer a darker, plainer background to help the tea goodies stand out better.

I like that you've included people in the scene, but I'd suggest a much tighter crop that concentrates on the entrance area (plenty of clocks there) and people waiting. The scurrying woman in the center tends to negate your concept.

Well-composed and shot. The line art graphic treatment was a good choice and well-executed.

Like the color and crisp lines of the tower contrasted with the dark background and cloud. Don't care for the halo around the tower, however.

Well-shot image of an interesting old building and clock. Unfortunately the time difference that's the 'story' here is hard to see - I only noticed it after reading your Extra Info. Consider a tight crop on the two clock faces, with some retouching to emphasize the hands.

Cute idea, well shot. What if the 'fast' watch also were slightly blurred?

Clever concept, nice colors. Consider cropping some from the top and right - you don't really need the whole tower. (Sushi Samba??)

Interesting garden. The clock would be more apparent if shot when the hands are more oblique to each other. You might want to retouch out the distracting people in the background - or wait for them to leave before shooting.

Good idea going back to shoot it with the clock lighted. The orange cloud near the center looks sort artificial, maybe from loss of detail through over-exposure - probably could be fixed in PP, as could the tilt of the tower.

Clever concept, suits the theme, but seems washed out, especially in the lower half of the frame.

The scene has potential but would be more compelling if the donkey filled more of the frame and the people were engaged in looking at it. The man walking out of the frame encourages the viewer to go with him.

A bit contrived, maybe? Nice job of following the rule of thirds, though.

A great shot, very well-executed, but not a great fit with the theme. An hourglass is not a clock; though it shows an elapsed time, it doesn't indicate what time it is.

Clever concept and well-shot, but not a good fit with the theme, as the clock does not have "the time clearly visible."

Very striking and colorful image. Can't help wondering if a straight shot of the two clocks might have been interesting as well.

Fits the theme well, but the scene is rather bland. A person checking his watch against the clock, or running to catch the bus, would add interest.

Great concept, very well-executed. As I'm not sure how big either the clock or the device is, I'd like to see something else in the scene to give it scale, though I'm not sure how to do it without messing up your composition. Anyway, congratulations on the shot and your new, well-regulated lifestyle!.

Great scene - well-composed, though a bit over-saturated, IMO. Might prefer a time of day when the shadow is more oblique to the gnomon. (Thanks for reminding me what the name for that is!)

What an elegant old clock! if the watch had been about an hour ahead, you might have titled the shot "Daylight Saving Time".
