NOT an Architect's Rendering....       ©2014 aoc46
Panasonic DMC-LX7       15th place, 54 points
1/1300s, f4, ISO 80, 24mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: RAW conversion in PhotoNinja; slight color, contrast adjustments, plus vertical perspective correction. Polarization filter wth NIK PhotoEfex plug-in in PaintShop Pro x5, plus final crop and resize.       Extra Info: When I saw this view of San Francis'co's Yerba Buena area, I was struck by how much it resembled the paintings architects use to show how their proposed creations will appear, even down the people adding scale and 'realism' in just the right places. Except that this is really a photograph!

This was my top pick and I'm surprised it didn't place higher. I think it is a very special shot, it takes a really good photographer's eye to see this.

Nice artist-rendering-like photo with good color and lighting. I was trying to figure out what the subject was until I read your extra info. For comparison, I would like to see the original unedited photo in the outtakes forum.

Yes it has a different look, well done. I would like to have seen it pp'd to turn the people into more of a cardboard cutout or semi-stick figure. Good eye for spotting the potential.

The very high shutter speed has worked well for you here. You capture the almost a model feel very well. Interesting idea.

I don't have that tilt shift sense but this does remind me a lot of a "City of the Future" drawing circa 1958. It has that "look" which is hard to find or replicate.

Love this shot, and I see what you mean about artist rendering look. Great colors and textures of buildings, placement of people. Just a great, fun cityscape! I may have considered cloning out the cranes.

I agree with your own comment under the photo - very good view and capture of an architectural area

Really well taken- you've captured an interesting slice of life under that beautiful blue sky.

This is almost like an Andy Warhol painting. Beautifully done.
