For those who are interested, the bridge is in St-Martin-de-Vers, in the Lot department of southwest France. The keystone is engraved 1772, and the two stones in the foreground may be paving blocks from a ford that preceded it. For the past ten years, we've spent our summers in the house at the far right, so I have LOTS of shots of this bridge and village.

Thanks, all, for the comments and encouragement. To mrsawyer, cropping the bottom does have some advantages, but to my taste, makes the top of the bridge wall too central and leaves the tree trunk somewhat disembodied, with no top or bottom. To forkcandles, the more distant view does make a nice shot (you may see it in future), but I felt that for this competition, there was not enough emphasis on the (B)ridge.

You nailed the colour and tones and show good use of light. You're nipping on the door of a top 10 finish.

I like the colors and lighting here, as well as the focus. Though the bridge is the subject, I do think it is a bit overpowering. Try cropping away the bottom third (just above the block on the ground) and see what you think.

The lighting and perspective are just perfect. The dappled sunshine on the bridge and tree makes this such a warm and welcoming spot.

What a lovely old bridge. The whole picture exudes peace and tranquillity. I love it.

I am ignoring the title debate in the forums and concentrating on the pictures
the bridge fits well in the picture but this is outweighed by the large tree. maybe a different POV further away from the bridge making more of the archway
