    A novel idea, beautifully rendered.

A beautiful photo. Well composed, nice colors and good sharpness. In my favorites.

I like the idea - it fits the theme very well. I think the size and positioning of the needle detract from an otherwise interesting still life, and would have been better placed to the side a bit.

With a plain background I would have liked it more.

Clever concept to match the theme. I generally like the lighting, but the colors seem a little too "warm" and yellowish. Also, the insertion of the magnified needle into the image does not look natural. A little more careful erasing or masking would make a big difference. Still a pleasing image overall.

Nice composition and the tone is right for the shot. On the needle shot is that a piece of thread, its kind of confusing!

Great idea! Most is well here except I think the needle should have been placed where the background was less cluttered. Also, the lighting on the needle and the light-colored strip at the bottom of the entry betrays that it was layered in. There are also vertical strips along the right edge of the frame.

in the little preview-window i reeeeeally liked it! but a closer look reveals your post-processing around the needle clearly, namely the cutting etc :) that's a pity, but i like it anyway :) maybe you could have held the needle with one hand in front of the background while taking the photo ;)

I do like this but just wondered if maybe taken on a different color background wouldn't have highlight the needle, pin cushion, & scissors more. Between brownish background, goldish color to thread, scissors, & needle the foreground doesn't stand out as much. Even with that still one of my favoritesas is a very effective take on challenge.
