Aug 15, 2009		     This really is a beautiful shot, well executed and fit the theme perfectly. I think it should have placed much higher than it did.

Aug 12, 2009		     Hi Robert, due to the misunderstandings about what "fill the frame" actually meant, I left this lovely shot out of my TT. By the time the topic had been explained, it was too late for me to change my votes. I just wanted you to know that I love your flower, and it would definitely have been in my TT!

Aug 7, 2009		     A beautiful picture of a beautiful flower! But I am not sure whether it fits the theme as the flower doesn't fill the frame. - (edited Aug 10th: It does, as we know now, therefore in my TT)

Aug 7, 2009		     A beautiful flower with good focus. Unfortunately it doesn't fill the frame and so didn't make my TT.

Aug 6, 2009		     Flowers are beautiful subjects and this one is a jewel - the lighting, contrast, colour tones, and texture is very good; but for the challenge I feel that it falls short of full frame and that it would have been better as a photograph had the flower been less centred.

Aug 6, 2009		     This is one of those photos that is really going to make me think about which way I should vote, I feel it is an amazingly great photo with wonderful detail, sharpness, & I like how the flower really stands out from background. But am going to have to think if it really "fills the frame."

Aug 6, 2009		     Lovely light and composition. I suspect this one may get fewer votes as it does not 'fill the frame'. I think it fits the spirit if not the letter of the challenge so have ignored that.

My one criticism then is that the orange centre bits (a biologist I am not) are less well defined than they could be. Not that they are not sharp, or properly exposed. they are fine. My eyes find that central section confusing and messy and want to move away, yet that should be the heart of the shot. Not sure I have a solution, but perhaps this is one for some side lighting.
