Post-Processing: Processed from RAW, levels slightly adjusted and resized prior to posting.       Extra Info: Caen Hill Locks are a flight of 16 locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal, at Devizes, Wiltshire, England. They make up a section of 29 locks that carry the canal up an incline of 237 feet in just 2 miles.

Built in 1810, they were engineer John Rennie's solution to climbing the very steep hill, and were the last part of the 87 mile route of the canal to be completed.

I Googled your subject and was amazed that it takes 5 to 6 hours to traverse the locks.
That would add a great deal of time to your trip duration.
Nice shooting spot to include the lock and a goodly portion of the river and the splendid reflection.
Good luck.

Very nice shot and the reflections are very appealing. I'd have rotated it clockwise a touch to level the nearest white fence, but it's a minor point. The repetition of the white fences into the distance and up the slope makes a great shot.

Last time I was in Britain I got a chance to visit the Falkirk wheel which replaced a shorter set of locks on the Union canal, near Falkirk, with a huge wheel lift (one of the millennium projects).
See here for some info on the Wheel.
While an impressive engineering accomplishment, and well worth a visit if you're ever in the area, it didn't have quite the charm of the locks it replaced. It did reduce the time required to scale or descend the slope by boat from eight hours to 4 minutes though :-)

Very different view for me. I havent seen a lock like this. That is why I love these challenges as it shows these different scenes from all over the world. TT! Good Luck@!

    Too much water cut perspective
By waiting one second you had a best view of the biker

Probably would have worked better from a higher perspective, but in my TT anyway.
