Olympus E-620       19th place, 27 points
1/320s, f5, ISO 800, 61mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash
Post-Processing: rotate, crop, small adjust to contrast and saturation, cloning to hide some floating leaves and oddities.       Extra Info: new to panasonic/lumix. just getting my feet wet.
without a water lily or animate element this becomes something abstract. new spring green growth colors evident.

Don't be surprised, how did you think I got my avatar and nickname? (Pat self on back) LOL Actually I was just trying to suss out what you had bought. That camera is AMAZING! I have recommended it to several people, many of whom were balking at the price. Not one of them has ever complained after buying it. I can't afford one myself but still have my old Olympus 790SW which has served me so well. It's fantastic to have a camera that produces good pics but one you don't have to worry about sand, dust or water doing damage. Look forward to more shots form your new Panasonic E-620 or something LOL. I'm sure you are going to enjoy it. I have fitted my Olympus with a metal flip
up shade on the back so I can see the screen in sunlight - highly recommended. Works well, can be removed easily (the hood that is - the frame stays in place so you can replace the hood if you want) , installation is simple stick on.

p.s. You need to contact Bernie and ask hm to update the camera data file.

hah!! i just saw that now. i used a lumix dmc-ft5 for this. exif should show it. just looked at profile thing and it only shows the oly and not eos-m or the lumix. now i'm surprised no one else caught that.

I hadn't realised that Panasonic were now making Olypmus E-620 cameras. Maybe you shot this on April 1st LOL Let me add my welcome to the Main anyway.

sorry for the confusion for those who didn't closely read my extra info. i've been here a while but just now have a lumix to shoot with also. and i was literally getting my feet wet at the edge of the pond. anyway, thanks for welcoming me to the main category.

I like the patterns and the texture. Good eye.

    Fine abstract.

Nice concept but needs a strong focal point, preferably providing some contrast to all the green-ness.

Good but my eye searches for something to "see" -- a more clear pattern, shape, or focal point.

Your photo is almost abstract, I like the concept very much.

Certainly makes for an interesting abstract. Love the vibrant colour.

Welcome to the challenge and a good effort with your new panasonic but for me it is a bit difficult to determine what is reflection and what is reality.

Beatiful green colors. Maybe the rotation wasn´t needed. Was it necessary to hide all the floating things?

Lots of nice reflections and rich green color produce a very nice abstract(as noted) looking photo. However, to improve the image, I would have liked to see something a little more than just producing reflections....for reflections sake.

Nice first effort, and welcome!
