Congrats. Alos thank you for explaining where the colour came from. I had been planning a similar shot with 12volts also. I'm sure it would not have turned out as well as your 'busted' bulb which I think is also a good comment on the future of incandescent lights.

Congratulation on your two top 5 placements. Your theme choice certainly drew a large number of entries.

Clever idea. Nice color and one of my favorites.

I have always been a bit fascinated with bulbs that show the illuminated element. attempted to capture a bulb that was on but the glare and brightness was to extreme, broke the glass to eliminate that issue then attempted to get the filament to glow using a 12v battery charger which got it hot enough to discolor the element but not glow. high saturation in LR brought out all the color. Don't think a LED would be quite as interesting.

This has a WRosenthal style to it! (A complement!) Good thinking outside the macro box. I wanted to shoot something electronic, but came up with nothing interesting. Kudos! Too bad an innocent bulb had to die!

This is lovely. I don't know how you achieved all the colors in the glass but is truly beautiful. Great detail, too. Very high in my top ten, probably #1.

Excellent shot. I'm amazed at the colour and detail you have managed to tweak ouot of a broken bulb. Great composition too.

I think all your preparations paid off. I like the way the colours have been picked up and dance around in the image.

Unique take on a macro subject. What does LED look like?
