O'Connel created this bronze sculpture said to epitomize the family of man in 1996. The curved arms and sweeping lines of the parents clothing create an environment that protects the child. IMHO this work of art conveys a palpable sense of “love”.

I failed to vote for this one because it was a sculpture and did not transmit Love to me. Obviously, I must have missed something here because you did so well in the voting. So, congrats my friend!

Feb 19, 2018		     I asked my wife what she thought this scene looked like and I had to laugh when she said exactly the same as I was thinking....to us it looks like two aliens (human form but bat like wings, elongated head and huge feet) are trying to abduct a Human child but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about the 'love/protection' theme ;-) .
