Extra Info: Spotted this guy - and thought "Yes". Should I cut out the pretty girl with her mum as a distraction - why? The subject can be hard to find, but asks a few questions when you find it.

Thanks Sir. Hockey season is ending - there wasn't even an outtake entitled "You're never alone with a puck" :-)

I thought this was the most unique entry. I ranked it 7th. Kudos for trying something different! ... and by the way, not a hockey puck in sight!!! LOL.

The more I study this, the more it intrigues me. I can see why you interpreted it as you did, but for me, the girl is much more compelling. I see her as in a solitude of her own, tuning out her mother and the other annoying distractions around her. The over-exposed, high-key quality washes them out, emphasizing their irrelevance to her. Neat!

Thank you all - making this was great fun. I was visiting Seville at the time and was lucky to catch this.

this is very clever idea and well captured

I don't find the mother and daughter particularly distracting. It is a photograph which is full of life. The distraction for me is the blown area on the stairs leading to the statues. It pulls my eye away from the subject.

A difficult idea to capture. You have done well here.

I really love this. It is just so unexpected, full of 'flaws' that give it life and keep me interested. It took a while to take in the guy enjoying his solitude (yes, centre stage and all) because I was just enjoying the treat of something so itself.

Solitude of a napping man? I really like the subject and composition. What I find distracting is the apparent selective blurring and blown highlights.
