Entry 13 of 23
blue       ©2016 rd52
Canon EOS 7D       13th place, 64 points
1/1600s, f7.1, ISO 320, 400mm, Shutter Priority, Pattern, no flash
Post-Processing: cropped, sized, smart sharpened, and slight curve adjustment       Extra Info: Walking the beach in the morning saw a group of ladies out learning to surf. The blue hat and blue surfboard caught my eye, don't see many people wearing that kind of hat in the water. She caught a wave and I snapped the pic.

I played with de-saturating and coloring the hat and making it the color of the surfboard, but just didn't feel that this was really keeping in the challenge's theme. I ended up just keeping it natural as it appeared to me.

Great action shot. You've really captured her concentration. The blues aren't quite a match, but certainly in line with the theme.

The lady is moving to the right, so itīs well composed, when more space has bee n left to the right side of the picture. In my favorites.

I applaud your sense of what the challenge topic was about. I thought the same. This still works. Nice shot!

the less PP is better the blues are realistic

I am glad that you did not alter the color of the helmet. Love the action and sharpness of the image. High in my TT.

I think that this is a great shot but I think that the shades of blue are pretty dissimilar.

    Good action. Color match off.

This is a great action shot. I just feel that the shades of blue are too different to make them "match".

Excellent capture, very well composed. It's hard to fault your integrity in not wanting to tweak the board in PP, but for this exercise, I'd be very tempted to do so if it could make for a more striking image.

Very dynamic composition! I also applaud you for not getting the hat and surfboard to match exactly in post processing. In my top ten.
