Post-Processing: clone out a human and some shadows. adjust in a bit of blue. crop. resize.       Extra Info: shot monotone. cloned out one person near the one in the foreground because the two of them interacting with the car became too much of an element. people were around this all the time so i couldn't get one without anyone up front. i think the 'human element' of the men in the rear works to add some depth and an exaggerated sense of size of the car (which is rather large to begin with).

Dec 21, 2009		     Elliott, I so admire your style in this shot (as with so many others) I cannot see how this did not make the top ten even given this tough field. I find this a richly compelling image and not at all an easy shot to make.

Dec 21, 2009		     hey thanks for the commenting. if i get around to posting the original later on you'll see why i worked on this a bit. the other man was directly behind the hood ornament which i wanted not to be obscured. now looking at the pavement where i worked on shadows, i should have spent a little more time on it to get rid of some patterns. but the pavement is fairly fresh concrete and still has patterns of its own that almost look like carpeting so i didn't spend that much time on it. overall, most probably would wonder why i spent time editing this photo anyway. i enjoyed it though.

Dec 20, 2009		     Great job in cloning out the second figure - at first I thought you'd really botched it - but it was only the perspective of the fender and the splash of white behind it that makes it look odd.

Dec 19, 2009		     My # 1. This is what I was looking for in the challenge. The man on the front is showing a lot of interest on the car, while the two at the back could probably be talking about the car's heritage. The 'human element' in this picture is like telling us that there is much more to this car. I couldn't put it into words but I hope you get the idea. ;-) Beautiful shot! Good luck!
