@Mepo: Thank you. Of course, I'm also looking forward to it. I've been setting me eyes to find a shot that would fit that the next category. This site is really a good site for learning. And the community is very much alive.

Given the circumstances I think you did a great job here. I love the tone effect and the composition is very good. I think you have the makings of a really good shot, but (even allowing for a desire for a moody atmosphere) the whole things a bit dark for me. I feel the padlock wants to be the focal point of the shot but you can hardly see it, and the interesting shadow of the chain would be more effective against a lighter background. I can see you were up against very poor lighting. Probably an impossible shot without some additional light or a tripod.

I like the moods...But pherhaps the lock is a little dark....
For my taste...

Wonderful light. For me about between .5-.66EV extra to bring up some of the shadows would make this more appealing. My eye really want to examine the lock.

I like the shadow of the chain. My eyes would like to see the lock lightened a little so it stands out from the background.

This is such a tough shot. The tones and textures are conflicting as much as complimentary but not in a way which creates dramatic tension. The composition is fine but I also find it a little dark. Because it is so dark, I feel the highlighted chain needs a simpler background to set it off and the lock itself is too much in the shadows. Really like the warm metallic tones.
