°hola! Sorry Billy for this separation story. I think it got a little bit late yesterday! ;-)
...and as my excuse: It was in my son's homework yesterday... LOL!

We were at LlanÁŗ again. A beautiful place and not too crowded, especially in October. The weather was fine, sometimes stormy but sunny and warm. We went swimming almost every day - but I must confess, mostly I wore a surf suit.
Now it's hard to come back home (into the cold) and I start to regard all those lucky people who live at the oceans with envy... ;-)

Whoa!!!!! really, didn't expected to finish so well, due to the great pics in the challenge... many, many thanks again to all of you for such nice comments & votes, I'm more than happy :-)
I'm happy you liked my little story too, I have such nice rememberings from this place that I wanted to share them with you :-)
Franz: so, you've been in Spain again! hope you have enjoyed it a lot :-D where did you stayed? hope you had nice climate too, here in the north we're having still some nice sunny days, what is not so usual almost in November!
And I didn't know about that separation! But at least we still have a loooong time left to travel by car to, z.b., Deutchsland ;-)

    Beautiful shot, congrats drizzt!

Congratulations Billy. This is a place I would love to visit - very tranquil.

Congratulations Billy. The colors "pop" very well! :-) It's more than one color and this is a very well deserved 2nd place!
I liked this one very much. And your feelings about it make it even more amazing! Don't you feel it strange - like i do - that it feels like 10 or 20, but actually it now is about 30 years ago?
Now that I know it's from Spain I like it even more!
I've been there last week - and love it!!! If I ever win the lottery I will chose it for my "adopted country". Like others do with Florida, Spain is the "European Florida".
Did you know that Spain will separate from Europe in about 20 Mio years?

Many thanks to all of you for such nice comments :-) :-) I was a bit doubtful on entering this one, as we have had the "Blues" challenge so closer, but finally decided to enter it as I liked too the extra colour touch from the house and the boats. Glad you liked it despite so much blue :-D
I certainly overcooked the colours a bit - I wanted them to "pop" a lot :-D in fact, even as a part of that "remember" feeling. Most of the remembers I have from my childhood are "painted" in rich green and blue colours (although I like the city life, I was a very happy country boy :-) and maybe that affected a little my PP this time ;-) Anyway, neil, I certainly didn't wanted to get "purple" blues... maybe it's time to recalibrate a little my monitor, thanks for the info! :-)
About my childhood memories on this particular place, this is a little river that gets very wide-open close to the sea, and also creates a protected little natural reserve for birds and other animals; the pic is taken from a local road that goes paralell to the river course and heads to a wonderful beach and a little, beautiful fishermans'village; I went lots of times with my parents and my sister to those two places when I was a little boy, and, don't ask me why, I always was fascinated with this particular place along the road, with the house and the two boats floating in the river (I wonder even if they are the same :-) that was around 30 years ago, so why not :-). So I decided this was the time to go back there and take some pics to share with you - again, glad you liked it :-)

That rich blue color is wonderful. Caught my eye and scores high in my voting.

Gorgeous scenery, wonderful reflection, but on my screen (which has been calibrated) the blue in the lower part of the screen seems overcooked. If it was actually tinged purple in reality then my apologies - but it does look strange.

A wonderful place and beautiful colors.
I can understand very well that you have nice memories with this.

Wonderful blues. The horizon position was nicely chosen. Congratulations for a great photo.

The deep blue of the water is very attractive and I think this sort of HDR treatment works quite well (ie not overdone). The sky is a bit grainy but it is far from objectionably so.

This is a perfect picture. I am just not sure whether it fits the theme "color". The color blue is very dominant. But ok, the theme is color and not color*s*.

Looks a little heavy in the PP but not so much that I cannot be sure this was an unretouched image. A great shot.

Wow that is some amazing blue. This looks like a place that would create excellent childhood memories. Nice.
