Thanks for the nice comments and votes!
These sculptures decorate the wall of the carage of Söderlongvik manor on Kemio island in south-vestern Finland. Finnish businessman and maecenate of arts Amos Andersson rescued those sculptures from a theatre building.

Well, certainly an unusual angle for a building :-) The most relevant detail, for me, is the fact that you had a sharp and very imaginative eye to discover that, in such bizarre angle, the statues certainly seem to be "sleeping beauties". You have a very strong competition, but that great imagination deserves a place in my TT, nicely done!!

+1 for creativity - you'd not be getting up all day if that was your bed...

Great play of light and shadow.....and they truly are beautiful.

I keep coming back to this shot. It fits the them perfectly in my opinion. I also like the lighting and the subject matter. I admire stone sculpture too - not much pp in that profession!

This is a truly creative and humorous interpretation of the theme.

I like the simplicity of what you have done here. Very clever. I think though the image would pack more impact if we did not have the grass/leaves and brown roof line. What you would then have is a line of figures apparently lying down. The grass is too big a hint that you have turned the image over.

Nice angle taken, poses of statues actually give appearance of sleeping but the grass on left side of photo takes away from it for me, would have liked to see that cropped out.

Very well exposed with the right light given the contrast and blown highlight issues this kind of shot can bring. I think the perspective could have been adjusted in PP (I'm not sure shooting from a slightly higher point on the wall would have worked) to avoid the vertical band of grass if you felt you needed the border (I would have preferred to see a line of converging toward the top of the frame). Alternately, I would have simply cropped the grass out since the foliage at the top gives enough of a visual clue as to what you were doing.
