Post-Processing:
Not sure I remember everything I did, but it at least included:
-crop
-lighten the green foliage so the cross would stand out from it.
-convert to B&W, further lightening the green.
-strong tone map
-vignette
-add warm beige background layer, using 'exclusion' blend mode
-local light/dark adjustments
-resize
Extra Info:
My initial "straight" picture of this roadside cross was kind of boring. As I played with it, the result became more like a postcard that someone's great-aunt might have bought at a religious shrine in the late 1800s, and I couldn't resist using it.

Very cool effect, fits the subject nicely.

Lovely idea for the postcard look but it took me a few seconds to find the cross. The leading line goes straight over the bridge to the building beyond. It is like two separate images. Still, I like it.

In my favourites but not sure if there are two competing focal points, my eye immediately went to the bridge and house

This is a beautiful scene, but the sepia and vignette make it hard to see the cross, which should be the focal point. Perhaps a different angle and a bit more contrast would show it to better advantage.

The thing is until I read the extra info I didn't even see the cross. It's very near the edge in a dark part of the frame. My eye was just drawn so strongly to the light colored buildings framed by the trees with the prominent leading line of the road. If you had lightened up the area around the cross it might have worked better as a dual subject image.

I like what you have achieved.

It is post card like and though frames are banned, I'd say you are playing around at the edges....

I quite like what you got here :) Maybe, just maybe, I would have shifted the tone a little, less "peach" and more "sepia" - not completely sure without playing with it myself :-D
Fits the theme nicely too and goes high in my list, well done!

You certainly achieved the desired effect with the vignetting and sepia tone all working together. Unfortunately, IMHO, the cross on the right gets somewhat lost in the overall scene, with the farmhouse occupying such a prominent position. I wounder if flipping the image horizontally, would have give the cross more "presence"?

I particularly like the faded postcard effect. In my favourites.

This is a lovely picturesque landscape with Cross despite the 'postcard' treatment.

The processing has indeed made this special. Very nicely done. In my top few.
