Persistence and timing have paid off & the lighting/vignette effect also works for me.

I appreciate your comments guys. As much as Id like to crop tighter, Im worried about the image quality becoming nasty since I shot it in square ratio in jpeg format. Here's the uncropped image ( http://tinypic.com/r/5wzar5/8) As you can see there is a fourth drop.

Amazing to have captured all three raindrops together. Much as I love the intensity of the dark green colours in the foreground, I think it might have been more effective to crop closer to the three drops

I imagine this took some patience and skill. Compositionally, the bottom half of the image is underwhelming. Since the rain drops are falling from above, in my mind's eye it makes more sense for the splash areas to be nearer to the bottom of the frame.

I think this needs to be cropped right down to the essential three. Super rendition of the water action and the timing is fantastic.

Love the composition, color and contrasts, though the visual competition among the splashes, droplets and reflections somewhat confuse its "THREE-ness".

Great idea. IMHO, I would have cropped about 1/4 of the bottom of the image. I also would have cloned out some of the extraneous drops above the three prominent rain drops.

How in the world did you time capturing only 3??? Your patience paid off.
