Panasonic DMC-FZ7       7th place, 99 points
1/20s, f2.8, ISO 200, 55mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Crop, adjusted levels to extreme , sharpened. Resize for entry.       Extra Info: Could you inject yourself? This is a prescription medication I inject at regular intervals. It is lucky I am not one of the 10% of the population that suffer from Typanophobia - fear of shots or injections.

Yes, I think it is a pretty common phobia! I used to have to give myself shots and fortunately I was not afflicted by this phobia.

Good subject. An interesting choice of post-processing. I think it accentuates the discomfort depicted in the photo. In my favs.

I suspect the proportion of people with at least mild Typanophobia is much higher than 10%. With this shot, you're really sticking it to them (puns intended).

Suits well to the topic, good composition. But But the JPEG artifacts and other noise should have been corrected before the sharpening, I think.

Great choice for a phobia - There are certainly a lot of people who couldn't do what you are doing. I think the pp detracts from the realism a bit.

Thank God that you aren't fearful! Even though this is a good shot, I do believe that the effect you gave the shot took away from the intended fear. But this is just the opinion of a novice.

A bit too sharp for me; the photo, not the needle.

Good health to you! I like the gritty rendition. Among my favorites.
