Really cool. I like the off-center placement.

The middle of the flower reminds me of a kaleidoscops. Love all the textures and total clarity. Nice job.

This is very well done! Very sharp, and I like the off centre composition. Just a small thing: on the top centre, would be good to clone out the green spot and fill with the surrounding yellow.

forkcandles & Lo, thanks for your comments, nature does provide some stunning subjects!
Jade O., Thanks for your kind comment, I used a monopod on the camera and waited for calm conditions, shutter speed also helped.

Hi Mepo, Thanks very much for the very educational and interesting additional information about this photo. I find it amazing that someone who lived in that period, 1170 - 1250 AD, was able to produce these mathematical equations, as you say 'an amazing mathematician'. The video even shows the same basic plant pattern.
Furthermore, the inspiration for the photo was one of your quotes, something like 'come up with a subject 12 steps from your doorway' which I have done.
( these mathematical equations are well beyond my ability)

Nice. This is all about colour and detail and you've nailed both. Question: how did you hold both camera and subject steady?

Interesting photo, excellent representation of the Fibonacci sequence. He was an amazing mathematician. There is a short bio at: http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/history/Biographies/Fibonacci.html

Check out these links about the F. sequence (it even occurs in your fingerprints!):
