Oh, yes! A Fiat Barchetta! Man, I could have known this...
Congratulations Billy (as always I'm a little bit late... but not too late :-))

Billy. This one was relatively easy to find. I used the shadows in your photo to determine that the town faced the ocean towards the East. There are not that many towns in Spain that have the ocean on the East side. Google street view did not let me get to where you took your shot. However the satellite image was good enough for me to guess.

Billy. You do not show an email address with your mugshot. Alby sent me a funny picture and we wanted to share it with you. You can send me an email through my mugshot if you want. I have not had time to see your video yet. Will get back later after I do some work. I need money to eat, and photograph. :-)

Many thanks again dear friends, finishing TT is a great price considering the faults :-D

Jade, Michael: LOL!! what a funny (and learning) almost-chat! May I join in? :-))))
Just add a video from the Spanish Acrobatic Team, where you can see some nice "suicide positions" (thanks for the info Jade :-)
They're not so famous as the T-Birds or the Blue Angels, but perform some great manoeuvres anyway... can't wait to the end of July to see them again! :-)

Oh, and, Michael... you have amazed me again!! yes, Luanco, that's the villa where my pic was taken!!! :-o :-o amazing how you've found out that!! (nice video too by the way ;-)

The day is not lost - I learned something new. Sometimes I regret not accepting the pilot training in the forces when they offered it to me. Then again there is that suicide position . . . :-)

However you have not weaseled out of your claim to have flown the Sabre jet over the village in Billy's photo LOL. If I am ever flying and I see the Captain heading up to the front office with a remote control in hand I will know it's you :-DDD

Michael, are you serious? Going under isn't a problem, it's going on top that's scary (you can't see what's coming and if you're in chase, then lead can't easily see you either. When the group is climbing being on top but behind the lead is known as the suicide position.)

Jun 22, 2010
Jade - scary video - did you take that? I can't imagine taking off and then pulling in under the leader like that - fabulous!

No, no, not that Sabre, this one....

Jun 22, 2010
Jade - you are leaving yourself wide open - it was a model plane. I have tears in my eyes - a vision of you in your pilots uniform - in the middle of a field - holding a remote control . . my sides are hurting LOL LOL

It would look lovely in Sepia! Congrats, despite the colour, you still make top ten! (I shot that Sabre footage by the way!;-)

Nice tt finish. Did you see the video taken of this village from an F-86 Sabre jet? If you use Google map and open videos it will show you one.

Hi dear friends :-) and many thanks for so many comments... although this time I made a real mix of mistakes with the pic! LOL! happy you liked it anyway :-)
- Jade, Raf, Franz: yes... the yellow is... yellow!!! aaargs!!!! a quick and obvious explanation: my main PC is broken (again... I feel I need a new one quickly!) and I PPed my pics on the laptop... that is obviously miscalibrated on the yellows, as I see the pic much more sepia... when I saw the pic at my monitor at work, along with your comments, I got a (bad) surprise... oh well :-((((
(Franz: the car is a Fiat Barchetta... you were really close, at least you guessed it's an italian one :-) but it is red :-D :-D I used a green filtering when converting to BW, hence your little mistake ;-) and no, that's not my city, it's a little one just 15 Km far... there are places like this at Gijón, but much, much more crowded when the sun is up... I prefer driving a bit :-)
- Elliot, Michael, Lo, Akebono: oh, the car!!! yep, you are totally right, that modern one really doesn't fit with such vintage look LOL!!! (neither the water bikes, now that I look...) heeee... I was so happy giving the vintage look to the place & people, that I forgot thinking on that... well, at least I made a great pic for a "Find the mistakes" play... ROFLOL! :-D :-D :-D
(Michael: yes... me again... you're unbeatable :-D :-D :-D)
- Forkcandles, Bill: Thanks a lot for your nice comments too, an oasis in this mistake mess LOL!
This challenge has been really enjoyable when looking at the entries, I'm happy you all enjoyed mine too despite its obvious faults :-D

It is funny that you wanted a "vintage" effect, when you have an ultra modern car right in the front of the picture :-)

Good luck!'

I think the choice of sepia makes this shot for me. It captures the bucolic feel of a warm seaside day. Nice lines and interest throughout.

Jun 20, 2010
Lots happening here - it looks like the place to be on a weekend. I think I would have preferred a colour version, as for me, the modern cars don't fit with the vintage effect.

Jun 20, 2010
Great take on theme and super composition but for me the vintage affects spoil it. I guess I can't reconcile the modern cars with the scene. Sorry Billy.

Jun 19, 2010
nice job on the stitching. not easy to pull off when people in motion. sepia and vignette interesting for vintage effect but your focus is so good that it in fact takes away from vintage feel (that, and the ultra modern cars :). but overall, a great shot with a lot of street scene elements.

Jun 19, 2010
OK, I'll give up!!! I googled this car for about half an hour with no clear result! I wanted to say something like "nice Bugatti ... Ferrari ... Alfa Romeo ... etc., but I couldn't identify it... :-/
At least I guess it's color is yellow and not red - right? I wouldn't want to bet money though.
Great shot! - shots... :-)
Maybe a tint too yellow, maybe a bit too many tourists, but perfectly on theme and showing a wonderful "classic" style. This is how it "has to look" on the streets close to the seaside in summer.
If this is where you live, ...oh man, I'm jealous!!! ;-)

Jun 18, 2010
wow a lot of post processing. I thought select sepia and press click ok cant wait to see the forum notes but still in my T5

Like the pic. It gives a great sense of a summer place on a hot day. Like all street scenes tough call on what to include exclude. The colour is a nice try but a minus for me. You are obviously going for the hot day haze feel but it just look a bit bilious to me.

O.k. I really dislike the colour though I really like everything else about the shot including the concept of making a "discoloured" postcard effect. So it ends up in my top picks. By the way, did I mention, I really dislike the colour.
