I really thought your image would do much better. It was my #1 choice (hope I didn't curse the voting for you . . .). Of course, being a Virgo, I'm prone to liking symmetry and balanced images -- which I think is not that well received by most photographers.

hi, thanks for the positive comments and votes.
there is a lot of negative space. i almost left normal street light in there for balance (or un-balance as it would have been).

Love your treatment of this. I can see how it is so much better than the original scene. The best part is that the mirror image is not overly obvious. Well done.

I love this image. It doesn't speak of long exposure to me but as an image in works quite well. It must have been fairly calm with no wind or those palms would have been blurred.

Beautiful lighting. Gotta love the twin vanishing points.

Statuesque and majestic with great texture.

thanks jade and eagle. i see most folks went with motion to emphasize the one second exposure. i'll admit i took a few with auto tail lights in motion but i like the solitude which was probably a good thing since any human around there in the dark would be frightened of a man lurking about with a camera... more of a residential street.

For a simple shot, this is very effectively presented.
