Excellent result especially when working with a four year old boy! I really enjoyed your commentary and critique on all the entries. I learn a lot from reading other's critical analysis of images.

Thanks all for the comments. These are the hands of a four-year-old model. the background is his green shirt and khaki pants! He was very excited about posing for the shot and kept moving around quite a bit. This was actually just a practice shot to prepare for the real photo of him pouring the beans into his mom's hand. At the last minute, I decided to use this one for the open (since I had nothing else!). He loved the aroma so much, he took some beans home with him.

Very good idea. Nice colors and tack sharp.
...if the beans where steaming... - LOL! No, no! I don't want you to burn your hands for a picture... ;-)

An attractive composition. Certainly the best looking coffee beans I've seen. I think the question should be 'Why" not "How" LOL

Nicely lit - You can feel the warmth of the sun that produced those beautiful beans

I can smell the beans also. The caption helps capture the moment for the holder. Great details!

There is a realism to this which appeals and clearly makes my TF. I do like the two colour background yet also find it somewhat distracting; I think perhaps raising the hands or narrowing the depth of field might have helped blur/mute the background more. Or perhaps what you might try burning the background a tone or two darker to keep the light and attention on the hands.
