    Thanks again.

There was only one person there at the time, as the building was just closing for the day.
He had his car parked dead center of the building. I figured that he saw me setting up my camera, but he was too busy on his phone. So I asked if he could move so I could take the shot, and he did.
When the out take thread is up, I'll post this shot, and a couple from last year with a similar lens, but with way different results.

Congrats for your high finish! Really dramatic. Still want to know where all the people are!

    Thanks.
I can't do much about the darkness, it's a glass building with no lights on inside, the skies are dark. I took 4 shots and it started to rain. Not much more to it. I guess I could have lightened the shot, but that would have pulled the drama out of the sky.

You're back! I'm so excited to see your skill on display again. I echo Steve's comment but clearly this one stood out with the voters. Congrats!

    Thanks everyone.
One comment, I didn't take this with a FZ-1000, It was taken with a Sony a6400 with a Canon 10-18mm lens, adapted by a Metabones adapter.

Beautiful building and impressive sky which have almost the same colours. That gives a sort of harmony which leads to a very pleasant image.

I really like this image... the sky is the first thing I noticed then realized the is a building there, the color of building and sky are so alike. unusual and appealing.

Very impressive shot at that speed. The sky really adds a lot of impact to a building which is stunning in its own right.

Nice shot, never used that wide an angle lens, good job on exposure also.

I find these shots so difficult; no perspective distortion at all. You have achieved perfect balance in subject and lighting, properly framed and cropped and your capture takes this straightforward presentation and imbues it with purpose. This makes a powerful statement and is excellent architectural photography. My top 5.

Like the dramatic sky. Would prefer more light on the building and foreground, as the building tends to disappear into the sky. Could make a great B&W.

Wow what a dramatic image! How did you manage not to get any people in (or are they all cloned out)? The sky and the building are competing for attention.

You nailed the symmetry. The sky provides drama. I have less problem with the artistic blue toning than the overall image darkness.
