Congratulations Dave! I love the light and how the waves breaking on shore mimic the waves crashes against the jetty! I hope those folks didn't get too wet!

Absolutely beautiful. It must be so exhilarating walking along jetty. Congratulations.

Congrats on a nice finish. I had this as my 1st and correctly guessed the maker. Outstanding!

Fantastic shot - The almost monochrome sea and sky really make the lighthouse and the waves stand out. The figures on the rocks add a lovely touch. Great timing!

I never get tired of seeing your shots of this light. Great timing makes this a very alive photo.

Really nicely captured crashing waves! Don't think the human element adds here, and not sure what the structure to the left of them is. Both could have been cloned out quite easily. Still made my favs.

Very well executed, but so many separate puffs of spray are a bit confusing to the eye.

Interesting tone - was the sky that grey? It appears strangely at odds with the blueness of the waves.
A great subject, composition and capture of the power of the waves - and then spotting those people for scale really makes the picture.

Beautiful, love this shot. Definitely a favourite.

Beautifully executed. This style reminds me of Dave Misunas, which is meant as a compliment. Love the lighting. Well done.

I really really like the result you obtained here. Wonderfully synchronous wave breaks, perfect line of cloud, perfectly lit lighthouse, and a couple of figures to add perspective and warmth, one in striking red to boot. This would be a winner in most challenges but you have some excellent competition.

I like the contrast of the lighthouse against the menacing background but find the whole composition a bit dark

    Beautiful light, great wave action.

I like the various elements here from the ocean to lighthouse and people, rocks and gray sky. Do I recall this same location in B&W in another challenge?

I always love this sort of striped look. Sometimes the stripes can be a bit too obvious though, but here the spray breaks up the stripes enough to avoid this, as well as adding interesting motion to the shot. I think it's an optical illusion, caused by the lighter layer of clouds, but I swear I can see a beam of light coming from the top of the lighthouse :-).

Nice scene. Lighting looks a bit flat, but I guess you couldn't help that :)
