1/30s, f3.3, ISO 200, 24mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: I used Photoshop Elements 9's Distort tool to correct the verticals. I cloned out a few stray lights and cloned down a few higher lights that were cropped off. I used the Recompose Tool to help me get rid of some distracting stone seats and bring the reflections closer to the building. I did a bit of burning and dodging in appropriate places followed by some sharpening and slight saturation changes. I also cropped and resized the photo.       Extra Info: I came across this building by accident. Luckily it had just rained and I had my camera with me.

There was a lot less light than the shutter speed would imply as I exposed for the lights.

I thought this would do better, a beautiful abstract image.

I love the colours but would like to see more detail in the building. Pretty refections. In my TT.

On theme. Nice touch of the reflective surface at the bottom.

Super, super, super. You're correct. Luckily.... you had your camera. Awesome shot, considering.

Thank you all very much :-) .

ysal- I'll try and find a shot of it on the net. It's not a building as such but rather the seemingly never ending winding entrance at the end of St David's Shopping Centre (what you'd call a mall). I have nightmare every time I drive up it that my car will break down half way up!

Nice choice of exposure, transforming the usual night shot of a bldg on water's edge to something far more interesting

This is a very cool shot! Great colors, and the reflection adds a nice texture. Please post in the outtakes what this looks like in the day. High in my favorites

    Thanks very much both :-)

aoc46 - I wish I had taken more of the reflections in the pavement. I like your idea and will try another crop sometime :-).

The reflections are great - consider concentrating on them, showing just enough of the lights to hint at what's being reflected.

Love the patterns as well as reflections. Well done and certainly fits the challenge.
