Canon EOS 7D       6th place, 131 points
1/1250s, f8, ISO 400, 625mm, Shutter Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: In Affinity Photo as a raw file, increased the black point, decreased brightness, then developed. Still in AP cloned out one piece of sand that was kicked up, cropped, and reduced for the challenge.       Extra Info: Very, very rarely, if there's a very high tide with a large swell.... and if the beach has a steep angle where the whitewater can get launched, these water sculptures can occur. I try to shoot them at a fast speed to freeze them and see their different forms.

Thanks to all for the comments and votes. Mepo I'll try and post some other similar pics in the outtakes.

I've never seen water behave like this - What interesting sculptures. Love the composition and the detail.

I don't believe this is water. I suspect you had an accomplice in a helicopter dump a huge pile of milk on the beach LOL. A fantastic shot and perfectly taken. In my top three. I hope you will share more of these in the outtakes.

A curious phenomenon. I'd be inclined to forget about showing the beach (which doesn't really add to understanding the "story" without your text), and crop to find an interesting abstract pattern of shapes just within the spray.

This is unique and so well caught. The white is good and with the good focus and shutter speed you have done so well.
In my top 5.

great picture - interesting subject, and well captured. I love how differing parts of the foam remind me of bones, people, coral, etc...

This is fascinating - and fresh. I could go on looking at this for a long time - well, actually, I am. My number 1.

IMO the pick of the bunch. A spectacular photograph. Low angle is fabulous, water looks like milk. The detail is so good you can see the sand in the water.

This is a very interesting shot! Reminds me of a chaotic marble statue. In my TT.
