I miss the smell of dog! Anyway, congrats on you fine finish!

(I noticed your last two entries have not been as crisp as usual.)

I love the capturing of the patterns of water, whiskers, and fur. The composition looks a bit grainy and/or cloudy. Still my #2 choice!
Great timing!

Cracking photo. I think if you had played with Levels a bit this would have been my first place.

Though the scent of wet dogcertainly is distinctive, here I find myself drawn more by the action and the spray. Would like to see a bit more contrast.

Thanks for the comments. ysal and Mepo I totally agree with your observations. I knew it needed a little contrast as soon as I saw it on the site, but it was to late to change, voting had just started. OOPS! That's why it's so bad to procrastinate, you'd have thought that I would have learned the lesson after 65 yrs.

Again thanks to all for the comments and suggestions.

Great shot. Right on theme for a well-remembered smell. I think a levels adjustment would have helped bring the blacks out. In my favs!

think the visual of a wet dog hits me more than does the olfactory stimulation, but they do have a (shall we say) unique dog odor...

I love the action of the flying water droplets and the dogs face. This shot totally smells like a wet dog, but it makes me very happy. My top pick!

A great B+W shot to interpret a smell that everybody knows.

We had a dog and a cottage when I was a kid. The dog always knew when it was time to go home and would always take a last dip in the lake, and then end up in the back seat of the car with me. I know the smell. Nice capture.

Great catch! A bit more contrast would bring out the details more. In my TT

Great capture. How did you keep your lens dry? I like the black and white treatment and the marvellous water patterns captured here. The part of the face revealed amongst the water makes this a great photograph.
