Post-Processing: Color and brightness adjustments to enhance flowers and faces, selective slight darkening and blur to suppress background. Crop, resize, sharpen.       Extra Info: The aroma at this market stall was over-powering. Too bad we don't have Scratch 'n' Sniff monitors.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments. I have to agree with those who feel I was a bit heavy-handed in sharpening the flowers.

Looks like you were in quite a bit of shade here and compensated for it nicely! You have captured a very busy scene well, with the fragrant flowers holding a prominent place to accentuate the presence of "smell" in the scene. The flowers have a slightly unusual look to them. I'm not sure what it is, perhaps over sharpening? In my favs anyway!

Ah, the soothing scent of lavender. I like the composition - I feel like I am in line waiting to be served. Great colour and detail.

i like the colours, but for me the human interaction grabs my attention, leaving the smell as a more secondary element

Hang on - why wasn't this in my favourites... just let me put that right.
Great shot - I guess the temptation to go into the fields and recreate the "stock" show was tempting.

Lovely candid image. Nice focus on the source of the scent. High in my TT

I love the interest provided by the stall holder and customers. (I love market shots.) The big bunch of lavender in the foreground leads beautifully to the stall holder's face. I think there might be a bit of localized over-sharpening going on, but in general I really like this and it is in my faves.
